No, it WILL have a toe stop, so it might be for you or anyone. The pedal in the picture (the final prototype) didn't have one at the time of the photo shoot.

at drummer live they had cameras on the drums with the images projected onto big screens - one of the feet and one obove the set. i dont think i have seen a pic of the pedal, i only saw it live. but search for jojo pics you might find it....he talks a bit about it on his site....he said he designed it and it might be released.

Pretty to look at. But really, do all of these high tech pedals really make any appreciable difference in terms of performance. I've yet to hear anyone play a single bass pedal with significantly more facility than Buddy or Bohnam.

Yeah the thing is, Buddy KNEW he was THE BEST... and maybe that's why he was so miserable! There were a lot of great drummers around, but NO competition for Buddy.
I have seen SMOKIN players just kill on a crappy kit with sluggish pedals... so, no, I don't think a high tech pedal will make you a better drummer but it might help you feel better as you play.

Well, I think a good pedal can do more than make you feel like you play well.
I agree that a good drummer can play on a bad pedal, but it doesn't logically follow from that, that there is no benefit to playing on a good pedal.
I played this afternoon on an old, sloppy pedal and it was harder to play than on my newer Pearls. I have no doubt that if Buddy Rich sat down to play on that set with the old pedal he would have killed. But (and this is big news), I am not Buddy Rich. I need all the help I can get. I didn't mean to compare this pedal with a "bad" pedal, just a basic camco or ludwig or yammie pedal with a strap that's in perfect working order. Not a lot of difference, for me anyway.

I've heard a story where some guy who invented a new pedal came to Buddy Rich and said, "Buddy, you gotta try this new pedal." Buddy says,"Why?" The guy says, "It will make you play better." Buddy's response was, "Better than what?"
